What is your RETURN Policy?TOP All Items are Final Sale.Please keep in mind that this is a small Mom and Pop operation. Actually it's just Mom! However, if you have any questions, please use the Contact form and I will try to help any way I can. (Tutus and other one-of-a-kind and special items are non-returnable also).
On the rare exception that you do return something, Shipping costs both ways are customer responsibility and not reimbursed. Please gain prior authorization first, regardless. At this time we do Not charge a 10-15% restocking fee, but this is subject to change.
Cancellations: Must be made immediately! Some orders are shipped same day, even within the hour. Sorry, but once an order is shipped, it may Not be cancelled. At this time we do not charge a re-stocking fee, but this and all policies are subject to change without notice.
WHEN will my order ARRIVE? How Fast do you ship?TOP We USUALLY process your order WITHIN 1-48 HOURS of receiving payment. ADD to that 1-7 BUSINESS days for USPS delivery. Most packages are shipped either First Class or Priority, though heavier or larger items or orders may be shipped Parcel. Unfortunately, we cannot guarentee delivery times (nor can the USPS), we can only estimate.
PLEASE NOTE: Once your package has left our hands, we are NOT responsible for it and will not replace it if lost or delayed. If there are any delays, please take it up with USPS.HOWEVER, they have NEVER LOST ONE OF OUR PACKAGES YET -- since 2005! We use Delivery Confirmation service also. INSURANCE: If you would like to purchase insurance, please notify us before placing your order and we will give you a price quote. This has never been needed in the past, but does make some of our customers feel better.
Do You Charge SALES TAX?TOP NO, we do not charge sales tax. (Unless you are placing order to/from CA, where we charge our local sales tax of 8.75% as required by law).
Where do you SHIP?TOP MAIN 48 UNITED STATES: We ship to the 48 contiguous United States only. Just select the main 48 States at Checkout to calculate your shipping.
LOCAL BUELLTON PICK-UP: We also offer local pickup at no cost to our Buellton CA residents by appointment. Payments for these orders are made by placing a regular order. Select Local Pickup at Checkout for no shipping fee. You will be contacted by email to arrange an appointment to pick up your item.
INTERNATIONAL AND OUTER STATES AREAS: Sorry, we do Not ship to other areas at this time.
Is Everything IN STOCK?TOP Usually any item we have listed on our Castles N Crowns website is in stock, with some exceptions:
EXCEPTIONS: Custom Designer Tutus, which are made-to-order unless otherwise noted. We also carry Pre-Made Tutus, in stock and ready to ship.
EXCEPTIONS: Inventory Updates happen automatically when an order is placed, but occasionally there is a computer (or human) error, OR two orders may be placed for the same item simultaneously, and there may only be one of those items in stock. We will contact you via email right away to suggest a substitute or to allow you to cancel your order immediately and refund your payment. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Our shopping cart directly accepts your payment through the Pay Pal
service (you do Not need a paypal account), where you can pay by credit or debit, or with funds in your Pay Pal account (if you
have one). This is
the most secure payment option for our customers. For your security, we do NOT see, nor keep, any confidential payment information!
How are products Packaged?TOP PRODUCT PACKAGING Most
costumes are packaged in clear sealed plastic, with Tags attached.
CUSTOM TUTUS are usually shipped in a priority box. A Designer Tag is attached to each tutu with ribbon that is to be removed before wearing. These items are usually not in plastic wrap.

Do you have a SIZE Chart for Costumes and Tutus?TOP Yes, on the left-hand side of pages, under Information, please click on Sizing, for charts from some of our manufacturers. Sizes are standard averages, and may vary slightly.
Please Note: Children come in many different sizes. A 6 month old may be big and wear a 12 month size, or a 4 year old may not wear the expected 4T, but rather a 6X. Many 8 year olds are now in size 10-12. It is typically better to choose a size larger if you are unsure, but knowing the childs size and measurements is usually best.
How Do I CARE for my new TUTU?TOP TUTUS Care and CAUTION: Children and Pets should always be supervised at all times when wearing tutus and fairy skirts. Around young children or pets, tutus with embellishments can be a choking hazard - please do not order embellishments for young children!

Many of our wonderful costumes are made in CANADA or the USA. We have noted those items for you in a category all their own. Some of our costumes are made in Sri Lanka or China, but only from conscientious companies with strict safety and fairness regulations and high quality control.
